GMO labeling...or not

i feel i need to preface this post in a few ways. firstly, i am not telling anyone what to do by posting this nor am i even suggesting it. you have to do (or not do!) what your own convictions lead you to do for yourself and your family. secondly, i buy some of these brands and will continue to (ie. Horizon milk on the 'off weeks' when i can't get milk from my local farmer...which tastes WAY better btw, but Horizon does the trick when needed. haha) until i find a great alternative to said product that doesn't break the bank. I learned about this info in my chiropractor's office one afternoon. I simply found it interesting & thought i would pass it along. again, do with it what you will. no agenda here! :)

The link below lists (extensively) the food brands and their big-corp umbrella brands that donated on the upwards of millions of dollars to defeat Prop 37 (the California Right to Know GMO labeling initiative). Sad to know it's all about money at the end of the day and not consumer health & wellbeing (oh, and honesty!). I was very surprised and disappointed to find 'good' brands on the list, including Horizon, Larabar, Cascadian Farms, Morningstar Farms, Bear Naked, Kashi, Muir Glen, Naked Juice, Odwalla, and others. :(
